FARGO, N.D. (WCCO) — Two men died while beaver hunting on the Maple River, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
The two men went missing overnight. Authorities found their car yesterday, but it was too dark to search for them.
On Friday morning, several boats and a helicopter are searching for the men. Their bodies were recovered soon after.
Authorities didn’t release the identities of the two men, but said their ages were 67 and 59.
The Maple River is about 40 minutes southwest of Fargo and feeds into the Red River.
