You can feel the humidity rising and temperatures are above average this weekend. That’s all due to a low pressure system that is approaching from the southwest.

As it pushes a warm front toward far southern Minnesota later Saturday, showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop.

A few severe thunderstorms are possible from late Saturday afternoon, through the overnight hours, and early Sunday morning.

Scattered strong or severe thunderstorms could redevelop Sunday afternoon and evening.
