MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police are looking for an 81-year-old man with Alzheimer’s who went missing Monday afternoon.

Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has issued a crime alert for John Valencic. He was last seen leaving a gas station in Buffalo, Minn.

Police said Valencic was driving a gold 2005 Buick Lacrosse with a Minnesota license plate that says VGU079.

Family describe him as a white man with blue eyes and about 5-foot-7, with a light build. They said he is bald, tan, and recently returned from wintering in Arizona. He was wearing a brown jacket, blue shirt and blue jeans.

Police are asking the public to call 911 if you see the vehicle or a man fitting Valencic’s description.
