Twin Cities Locks, Dams Reopen To All Traffic

ST. PAUL, MInn. (AP) — All three Twin Cities locks and dams are open again to all navigation traffic.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Monday reopened those locks and dams due to decreasing high water flows in the Mississippi River.

The corps closed those lock and dams to recreational traffic April 5 and commercial traffic April 6. The locks were opened April 20 to commercial traffic.

The Upper St. Anthony Falls and Lower St. Anthony Falls lock and dams are in downtown Minneapolis. Lock and Dam 1 is next to Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis.
