Weather Blog: Wet And Windy

By Ron Trenda, WCCO-TV

A strong low pressure system is sitting over North Dakota this Saturday morning.

It will move through northwestern Minnesota and then into southern Canada over the weekend.

The result will be strong winds throughout the weekend. Our steadiest rains in the Twin Cities will be Saturday morning into early afternoon, with occasional showers possible the remainder of Saturday.

The low pressure system pulls in some cooler air late Saturday night and Sunday, which could result in some snow showers over northern Minnesota as we start the month of May.

Southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities area should see cool temperatures and a cloud/sun mix on Sunday.

I'm ready for a warm-up, how about you?
