MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death that happened in the Frogtown Neighborhood of St. Paul Wednesday.

Police said Joshua Bystrom, 21, was taken in to custody Friday afternoon and is facing charges related to death of Trent Crumble.

Crumble, 24, of St. Paul was shot and killed around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was walking in the parking lot of a business in the 600 block of Dale St. when he was shot in the torso.

An ambulance brought him to Regions Hospital but he died.

Police are continuing to investigate and think more people may have more information about the shooting. Investigators are trying to piece together what led up to the shooting because they don’t believe it was random.

I think it’s about time we change the name of that part of town…

“Frogs” are being misrepresented here! I take offence to this and I speak for ALL frogs, toads, and other random amphibious species!

  2. S. R. says:

It was named Frogtown because of 2 reasons.
#1 it was built on swampland
#2 It was first settled by a large contingent of French Immigrants.
Proud to say I was born and raised there. Not all of its bad.
