Expo Encourages Minnesotans To Live Greener

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. (AP) — The 10th annual Living Green Expo hopes to inspire more than 25,000 Minnesotans this weekend to live greener.

This year’s edition features a new, expanded location on the State Fairgrounds and more than 300 exhibitors, workshops and activities.

Highlights include a “green wedding” at 11 a.m. Saturday. Organizers say a local couple’s actual wedding will demonstrate how special and everyday occasions can be more cost-conscious and environmentally friendly.

The expo also features a large exhibit Saturday and Sunday of electric vehicles, with opportunities to test ride the new Chevrolet Volt and other electric vehicles and conversions, and displays on a variety of charging stations.

The Living Green Expo is produced by the Minnesota Environmental Partnership, a coalition of 80 environmental and conservation organizations.

We’ll need a Nuke Power plant if everyone starts driving Electric Cars.

Nope, just need to plug in at night during off peak time when there is surplus power. Wind power is way cheaper anyhow.
