Feinberg Is Head Of ICE Investigations In 5 States
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has named Michael Feinberg as head of its Homeland Security Investigations office in Minnesota.
Feinberg has been the acting special agent in charge of the Twin Cities-based office since last year.
Feinberg will oversee special agents in 14 offices throughout Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. The Homeland Security Investigations division of ICE investigates many crimes, including drug smuggling, human smuggling, transnational gangs and money laundering.
Feinberg has 26 years of federal law enforcement experience and says in a statement that he's eager to work with other agencies to help "safeguard this country." Before coming to Minnesota, he was assistant director of the Office of International Affairs at ICE headquarters, controlling international operations of 63 ICE offices in 44 countries.
