Tornado Rips Through Heron Rookery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The North Minneapolis tornado damaged many homes, including the nests of dozens of herons who live along North Mississippi Regional Park.

While many of the adult birds survived, most of their chicks were not as lucky.
