MAPLEWOOD, Minn. (WCCO) – Maplewood Police are investigating after a man stole a donation jar from a gas station counter.

The theft happened on May 15 at the SuperAmerica on the 1700 block of White Bear Avenue.

Surveillance video shows a man measuring nearly 6 feet tall taking the plastic jar containing donations meant for the Children’s Miracle Network.

Police said they don’t know how much money was in the jar, thought it was nearly full.

The man was wearing a black baseball cap and a dark jacket. Police ask anyone with any information about the case contact them at 651-249-2600.
