Copper Cable Stolen From Minn. Power Substation

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — St. Cloud police are looking for thieves who broke into an Excel Energy power substation and stole copper cable.

Authorities say the theft caused about $2,000 in damage.

Officers were dispatched Thursday afternoon to the power substation. They found that someone had cut through a perimeter fence and removed about 64 feet of cable from the power transformers.

Police ask that anyone with information contact them.

    I and thousands of others, will laugh when one of these morons fries themselves stealing copper. It’s already happened down in the cities and I just laughed and thought to myself, GOOD!
