2,000 Volunteers Signed Up For Tornado Clean-Up Day

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The city of Minneapolis has reached its goal for volunteers signed up for this weekend's "North Side Volunteer Clean-Up Day."

Minneapolis has 2,000 volunteers committed to helping on Saturday to clean up the city's north side after it was hit by a tornado on May 22.

The city says they are no longer signing up additional volunteers and only people who have registed with the city will be allowed to help in the clean-up.

But if you'd still like to help with the tornado recovery efforts, the city recommends checking with other organizations for volunteer opportunities.
