MAPLE GROVE, Minn. (WCCO) — A stretch of Interstate 494 in the northwest metro was shut down for several hours on Wednesday after a crash between two trucks and a van.
The vehicles collided at about 9 a.m. near Fish Lake Road in the southbound lanes of 494 in Maple Grove, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation said a delivery truck set off the collision by rear-ending a dump truck hauling rocks.
The state patrol said the drivers off all three vehicles suffered injuries but are expected to survive. Interstate 494 was reopened at about 1:30 p.m.
