TONKA BAY, Minn. (WCCO) – A man was hospitalized after a near-drowning in a pool Sunday evening.
Rescue crews responded to a report of a man found unconscious in a residential swimming pool in the city of Tonka Bay, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the 70-year-old man had been swimming alone in a pool when a family member noticied the man was at the bottom of the pool. That family member and a neighbor pulled the man from the pool and began CPR.
Rescue crews continued CPR and the man was transported to HCMC where he is currently being treated. The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
