MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Privately held agribusiness conglomerate Cargill Inc. is shifting management responsibilities for its senior executives, with an eye on expansion in Latin America, Europe and Asia.
Company spokeswoman Lori Fligge says no one lost their job as part of the management shake-up, but existing executives will take on new roles. CEO Greg Page’s position remains unchanged, she said.
The company named David MacLennan to a new position of president and chief operating officer. He was previously chief financial officer. Sergio Rial will take over as chief financial officer, with a focus on expansion in Latin America.
Paul Conway was promoted to the role of vice chairman with a focus on Asia and Europe.
Conway’s previous oversight of food safety efforts will be passed to Bill Buckner.
