Olive Oil Lowers Risk Of Stroke, Study Finds
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- New research shows another big health benefit if you add some olive oil to your diet.
A study from France of 7,600 people over 65 found that those who regularly use olive oil for cooking and dressing have a 41 percent lower risk of stroke.
People in the study mostly used extra virgin olive oil.
Olive oil is also known to protect against other stroke and heart disease risk factors including diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and obesity.
