Weather Blog: Soaking Again

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- We are in for some hefty rainfalls over the next few days.

There will be the chance of severe weather south of the Twin Cities through Tuesday, but the heavy rain will be the issue.

Fields are already saturated so the only place for the water to go is to nearby creeks, streams and rivers. The problem is that many of these waterways are flooding.

Expect the rain to persist through Thursday with the greatest rain totals stacking up Tuesday. Temps will be cooler with the rain and cloud cover, and we have to wait until Friday to dry out and warm up again.

Be patient. On a positive note: summer officially arrives at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday.
