Woman Arrested For DWI Trying To Get An Oil Change

CHASKA, Minn. (WCCO) -- A woman faces third-degree DWI charges after police say she drove drunk to try and get her oil changed.

Chaska Police say the woman drove into a garage stall for an oil change at National Tire and Battery. Employees said she didn't have an appointment and just drove into the stall without direction from the staff.

While driving into the stall, she drove over an impact gun, then sat in her car without speaking, while employees attempted to talk to her.

Employees called police after noticing she was having difficulty opening the window to her vehicle and seeing her stumble while exiting the car.

A preliminary breath test revealed she had a BAC of 0.32. She told police she wanted to get an oil change before driving to Wisconsin.

She was arrested and placed in a detox facility to await possible charges.
