BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (WCCO) – Police and fire officials kept busy with a chemical leak in Brooklyn Park early Friday morning, authorities said.

Authorities said a nitrous oxide leak was reported at the Accelent Corporation, located in the 6400 block of Zane Avenue in Brooklyn Park, at about 2 a.m. Saturday. A police officer noticed the leak around that time.

The Brooklyn Park and Coon Rapids Fire Departments responded to the scene. Officials said it took about five hours to contain the leak, and they believe it was caused by a malfunctioning machine.
