    Any spotters on board?

There were two adult passengers riding in the boat with the 14 yr old teen driver.

Updated information provided by law enforcement states there were three adults onboard the boat with the teen driver. the release also stated the teen driver had completed boat safety course. No alcohlol was involved, no speed was determined of either the boat or the tube. It was also reporteed the tube was a commercial use type specifically designed for the use. The deceased is from EC, no name yet released. Other info regarding him is that he is a father from all comments posted at EC’s television news.. I believe many of us have some idea as to the emotional trauma the teen may be suffering not knowing if he may be the cause of his friends death. There is also the possibility the tuber had some kind of a medical problem that caused him to not let go before the incident took place. Im witholding any comment until MORE is known, I hope others will do the same. My condolences to the family and friends .

I’m just curious about what possible “medical problem” could cause a kid to not let go of a tow rope.

Umm no possible condition is coming to mind, other than paralyzing fear, realizing your friend just unknowingly whipped you into a pillar and you’re about to die.

I hope insurance covers this kid’s psychiatric rehab. He’s going to have some issues with this, I can only imagine. How awful.

I knew the victim, and there was no medical condition involved. He was healthy.

How about this was simply a tragic accident and all parties involved are grieving and leave it at that. My thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family of the deceased and the young driver of the boat.
