Teen Accused In Triple Homicide Tried As Adult

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Supreme Court says the teenager accused of killing three people at a Minneapolis convenience store should stand trial as an adult.

The court has upheld a district court ruling that Mahdi Hassan Ali was 17 when the shooting at Seward Market took place on Jan. 6, 2010. Ali’s attorney, Frederick Goetz, has argued that the defendant was 15 at the time of the shooting.

The Supreme Court upheld a district court ruling that followed an age verification hearing last year. Ali was born in Somalia and doesn’t have a birth certificate.

A criminal complaint says Ali entered the store with another teen, ordered two employees to the ground and demanded money. The complaint says Ali fatally shot a customer who walked in the door and one of the employees. Minnesota Public Radio News reports prosecutors say both teens then left the store, but Ali returned and shot the other employee.

How is this possible? No birth certificate but he is allowed in the US? 3 people lost thier lives due to a poor immigration policy.

    • Steve

100% agree! How on earth did this person get into the country??? And at the cost of 3 innocent lives??? Unbelievable!!!

    • Dale Gribble

Yes, no birth certificate, born in a dangerous foreign land, practices a violent, criminal religoin. He could have been President of the United States

There are millions of illegals in the US and Obama does nothing about it and just lets it continue. check out http://www.numbersusa.com and you can read all about it. I just read the other day that 71% of people on Welfare are Mexicans. 71%! MN’s biggest budget is health and human services…part of that is welfare. Yep…we’re paying for those anchor babies. Go to Willmar for example…the Mexican’s are everywhere with a minimum of 4 young kids. They breed and breed and breed…

It’s Obama’s fault there are millions of illegals in the U.S.?

You are completely clueless. How do you even find your way to this website?

      • Paul

It’s not Obama’s fault they are here. It is his fault they are still here. He wants to pass the dream act for the votes. His dog face Home Land Security Director says the border is secure. We know that is a lie. So what is clueless about this administrations failures on immigration.

        • Les Johnson

What did ANY OTHER PRESIDENT do about the illegal aliens that “are still here?”

LES, I am not assigning blame how the illeagls got here. What I will say is get them the hellout.

This is why this state needs to start frying these people! Lets get OLD SPARKEY out and plug it in!

This is why this state needs to get OLD SPARKEY out and plug it in and fry these loosers!! But Libs cant do that! They rather see them in jail for ever!

this POS exemplifies why Minnesota SHOULD have the death penalty.

You people are all so cruel! This poor little boy never had a chance in his homeland he was probably in this country because his llfe is in danger in Somalia. We need to be compassionate he was probably experiencing some flashback, or perhaps the employees looked at him funny and he felt threatened, how can you be so harsh. The death penality? civilizized people would never allow the death penalty, it is far better to have numerous innocent lives lost then to take the life of a savage killer.

    • dan

Is this for real? He walked into a store, held it up, shot someone, then CAME BACK to shoot the other two people in there. They looked at him funny? He was in the wrong place at the wrong time robbing the wrong store? Fry him and send him home.

FED UP & PAUL – you’re BOTH actually wrong. There have been more illegals sent back to their country in the last couple years than in many, many years. I agree with you that they need to be found & sent back but it is true that Obama has sent many more back than when the Bush’s were in office. I’m also tired of paying for these Somali’s health insurance because our country BRINGS THEM IN & picks Minnesota because we are considered a wealthy state that can afford to pay high insurance premiums. I’ve mentioned it before that i pay $650.00 a month at work for health insurance & it went up couple years ago to pay for all the Somali’s FREE health insurance they get. Every 4 weeks I work- 2 weeks goes towards taxes & health insurance. My kids could use some extra things instead of paying for everyone else’s health insurance. Plus I personally know people on disability because they’re too “nervous to work- or too depressed to work, or they have this or that” and THIS kind of pampering DEFINITELY needs to stop!

Imagine, if you will, a flashback scenario…

Picture two men in the 1800s working to put in the railroad.
They’re pounding away and Jim says to Bob,”Bob, I just can’t do this today.”
    “Why not, Jim?”
    “I’m sad… And I don’t know why…” =*(
“Get back to work, Jim, before I crush your skull with this hammer.”
