INVER GROVE HEIGHTS (WCCO) — A worker cutting grass discovered a body near the Mississippi River in Inver Grove Heights Tuesday, according to the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities believe the body was carried by spring flood waters to the location of the discovery, which was on River Road.
The Dakota County Medical Examiner’s Office has performed an autopsy and described the deceased body as a middle-aged black man.
The incident is being investigated.
