MANKATO (WCCO) — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who was found dead in Mankato.

The woman’s body was found on North Victory Drive, east of Highway 22. Mankato-Public Safety is investigating the death. Authorities say she is a homicide victim who appears to have been dumped in a grassy median area.

The woman is being described as a white, 18 to 25 years old, around 5-foot-5 and 150 pounds with dark, shoulder-length hair.

On her left wrist, she has a leather bracelet with a turquoise colored stone and a silver charm bearing a dove, and on the backside has the inscription “peace is a chain reaction of love.” On her right wrist, she has two “silly bands,” one blue and one yellow, and a clear string with multi-colored beads. She had fingernail polish in three different colors on her fingernails: White, silver and maroon. She had pink toenail polish.

She also has a naval piercing with a black and white design on the stone.

She was wearing a white and green tank top with black shorts. She has a surgery scar on her left knee.

Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to call 911 or the Blue Earth County dispatch at 507-387-8725.
