ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Democratic U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar has a hefty $3.3 million in the bank for her reelection effort next year.

Klobuchar’s campaign released her fundraising report Tuesday for the second quarter of 2011. The campaign says she raised about $1.1 million during April, May and June for a total bank balance of $3.3 million.

Klobuchar is running for a second term next year after racking up 58 percent of the vote in 2006 against Republican U.S. Rep. Mark Kennedy. The former Hennepin County prosecutor serves on Senate committees on the judiciary, commerce and agriculture and a joint House-Senate panel on the economy. In addition she leads a subcommittee on innovation and exports.

The only Republican to say he’ll run against Klobuchar so far is Dan Severson, a former state representative.

Republicans and Democrats have to raise money to pay fascist media corporations for TV ads.

Must be a cushy job. So far I have not seen anything she has done that was productive for the country.

We really do need term limits.

  4. Alfred says:

Didn’t she and Al Franken introduce a bill that would give gays special rights?

  5. Lucifer says:

If Amy was smart she would take the money and run… far far away. Amy is a far left progressive liberal. We no longer need or want her services as Minnesotans have come to their senses and wants smaller government and less smily face politicians like Amy making new laws against us and spending more of our money on stupid things.

    Just go away Amy!

‘In addition she leads a subcommittee on innovation and exports’ Wow she has done one great job on that committee. Got all our light bulbs coming from China now and only thing made in America anymore are professional politicians.

    1. What??? says:

These sound like the same comments made about Bachmann except she just made it so that you can use any kind of light bulbs you want. Funny thing is that I never see any of you post on the Bachmann stories like this. To go the extra mile, many people say the same about Bachmann not wanting to get out of office too even and that she has not brought any change or anything good for the state or country. Double standards on politicians, it’s a crazy thing huh?

        1. What??? says:

I love how when you tell the truth to a Republican they call you a liar and that you are trolling. I am sorry I made you cry Luifer. Might want to get educated or thicker skin if you are going to post on a big boy blog.

So I guess now you know how we feel when we are called racists just because we don’t like Obummer.

So this is the big time for you huh What? Posting on CBSLocal is the big boy blog to you? Hahahahaha…. Looser!

A lot Klobuchar haters here. Too bad for you she is quite popular and has one of the highest approval ratings among senators in the country. She is a shoo-in for reelection.

    1. Lucifer says:

Yeah, kind of like how Freaky Franken got “elected”. With Mark Richie at the helm you know there will be alot of dead people voting to push Amy over the top. They will keep “finding” misplaced ballots until she wins.

I Hope voter ID is implimented soon!

I am a pretty far right conservative, and I follow politics very closely. While I am not certian Obama will win re-election, I think Senator Amuy Klobachar is very very likely to win re-election, she is a very likable personality and wihile that shouldn’t matter it does. The best chance R’s have is with Pawlenty (who is not a conservative) and he says he’s not running. Having said that, Franken will not win re-election.
