Stillwater 'Taboo Goddess' Charged

STILLWATER (WCCO) -- Nine months after her initial arrest, a 42-year-old Stillwater woman has been charged with allegedly advertising fetish and fantasy services. However, it appears her business isn't going anywhere.

Kristal Zimmerman now faces a misdemeanor count of disorderly house in connection with prostitution. The charge carries a $3,000 fine and/or a year in jail.

On Zimmerman's website, she uses the name Kristal Taylor, calls herself the "Taboo Goddess" and says she's "the catalyst to making your erotic fantasies come true."

Stillwater Police Sgt. Jeff Stender has been involved with the case since last summer when they put Zimmerman under surveillance.

"I think it's clear, if you read her website, she thinks she's not doing anything illegal," said Stender.

The Stillwater Fire Chief, who lives next to her rental home, noticed men constantly coming and going, but it took months to figure out exactly what was happening inside.

"It wasn't your typical money for sex type deal," said Stender.

A search of the property found vibrators, lubricants, adult diapers and different machines Zimmerman used for sexual stimulation, according to police.

"There was a lot of domination and fetish activities going on," Stender said.

According to Stender. the misdemeanor hasn't done much to slow her business. A disclaimer was added to her site, which states she doesn't offer sexual services.

This isn't the first time the Zimmerman family has made headlines. Kristal's daughter, Taylor, died two years ago in their front yard from being struck by lightning. Now, her mom is using Taylor as her last name for her business venture.

Police say the bottom line is that paying for sex is illegal and this kind of home business isn't welcome in Stillwater.

"The community standard is such that nobody wants it next door to them," said Stender.

Zimmerman's website now states that she is operating in a "new discreet location."

Zimmerman did not return calls from WCCO-TV.
