Weather Blog: Steamy Until Thursday

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Our weather will be very hot and muggy right through Wednesday. An excessive heat warning remains in effect until Wednesday evening for much of Minnesota and Wisconsin, including the Twin Cities metro area.

Afternoon and early evening heat indexes of 105 or greater are expected, and overnight lows will only drop into the upper 70s to lower 80s in many spots.

A few scattered thunderstorms could glide across Minnesota and Wisconsin at times the next couple of days.

Heat exhaustion and heat stroke will be possible, so we'll have to limit strenuous outdoor activities and it would be a good idea to check on your friends or relatives that don't have air conditioning.
