MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A driver took off during a traffic stop early Wednesday morning, leading several police officers on a chase in the north metro.

A State Patrol trooper had pulled him over at I-694 and Rice Street on an outstanding warrant.

But then he took off and had a female passenger in the car with him.

Officers eventually forced him off the road by executing a pit maneuver and tapping his car.

He crashed onto the lawn of a Wells Fargo Bank in Spring Lake Park, Minn.

The driver was taken into custody. The women in the car was not arrested.

I honestly don’t understand why these people think they can outrun the police!!! It’s funny how they are willing to commit crime but when it comes down to doing the time they run like hell!! Not so tough now are they?! lol

Leading the cops on a high speed chase can be a way to get initiated into a gang.
