Man Who Kidnapped Wife Is Suspect In Bank Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police said Thursday the man who is suspected of kidnapping his wife, who he is separated from, is a person of interest in a Kansas bank robbery that happened July 15.

Timothy Caskey of Virginia, Minn., kidnapped his wife earlier this month after she returned from a walk with a friend and their child, according to police.

On July 15, a man entered a Kansas bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. He fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, and no weapons were seen during the incident.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s to 40s, about 6 feet tall with a thin build and medium length straight brown hair. He also had a light scruffy beard with a brown mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a worn camouflage baseball hat and a plaid shirt with long sleeves. He left the bank in an older red pick-up truck, which was occupied by a white female passenger.

Caskey is being sought as a person of interest in the bank robbery. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Timothy and Roberta Caskey or about the bank robbery is asked to call 911 or local police. The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Caskey's arrest.
