1st Public Piano Shows Up In Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Take a walk through the Linden Hills neighborhood of Minneapolis and you’ll likely hear piano music. What’s different about this music, however, is that anyone can make it.

WCCO-TV photojournalist Dave Wertheimer shows us how a public piano is hitting all the right notes.

Watch the video above.

Cool idea. Some A hole will probably just vandalize it though.

good idea….gang banging thugs need something to duck behind so they can return fire

fortunately it’s not that kind of neighborhood. it’s unlikely one of these pianos would show up in a ghetto square. i think they used stripped cars left on blocks for cover.

  • Finally

Finally can show off my useless piano skills. Thanks mom for the lessons.

By who? City or state government?
How can we have a state government shutdown and a federal government financial catastrophe, and still be including nonsense like this as a good use of our tax dollars?

  • Enjoy Today

A light hearted story turned totally cynical. People enjoying music on a street corner and the first thing we think of is crime. And Don, do not worry it is a non profit organization that does not take your tax dollars. I say take rob’s advice and enjoy the sunnyside of the street.
