CRANE LAKE, Minn. (AP) — St. Louis County authorities say an 8-year-old boy crashed while driving an all-terrain vehicle, injuring himself and two adult passengers.
The sheriff’s office says Austin Sokoloski was driving the side-by-side Polaris Ranger ATV Friday about 9:30 p.m. Deputies say the ATV hit a pothole and rolled, ejecting the two adult passengers.
One passenger was 42-year-old Mark Anderson, who sustained head injuries. He was flown by helicopter to a Duluth hospital, where he was in critical condition Saturday. A nursing supervisor said Sunday his condition had been upgraded to good.
The other passenger was 42-year-old Mary Anderson. A Duluth News Tribune report says her injuries were minor.
Sokoloski was in stable condition Sunday.
