OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) – Offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie has signed a two-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens after passing his physical.
McKinnie agreed to terms Tuesday, took his physical Wednesday and promptly signed with his new team following a nine-year run with the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings waived McKinnie last month after he reported to camp overweight.
McKinnie played left tackle with the Vikings and will probably hold that same position with Baltimore. If that happens, Michael Oher will move from the left side to the right side.
In a statement, McKinnie said, “I am honored and excited to embark on this new chapter within my life.”
The Ravens host Washington in a preseason game Thursday. McKinnie won’t play, but could be ready for the preseason finale Sept. 1 in Atlanta.
