ROSEVILLE, Minn. (WCCO) – A Roseville, Minn. woman who went missing on Sunday evening has been found dead.
Ramsey County sheriff’s deputies found a vehicle on County Road F late Tuesday evening which matched the description of the one that was being driven by 83-year-old Marcella Boerger.
The minivan was found about 90 feet off the road, down an embankment and in a heavily wooded area. The vehicle did not appear significantly damaged. It was locked and the windows were rolled up.
Boerger was found dead inside, still belted into her seat. Authorities said it appears Boerger died after experiencing a medical emergency.
Earlier missing persons reports stressed that Boerger had a history of heart complications and did not have her daily medications with her at the time of her disappearance.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the ultimate cause of death.
