Police Locate SUV Believed From Deadly Hit-And-Run

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The State Patrol believes it has found the vehicle that killed a man in a hit-and-run earlier this week.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday night on the Cedar-Riverside exit of Westbound Interstate 94.

The State Patrol said 38-year-old Anousone Phanthavong of Roseville was filling his car with gas on the off-ramp when he was hit by a vehicle.

Phanthavong died from his injuries. He was a head chef at True Thai Restaurant in Minneapolis, where he had worked for eight years.

Police say they recovered a gold 2009 Mercedes ML350, but they're still looking for the driver.

Again, police are asking anyone who has any information on the hit-and-run to contact them.
