ST. CLOUD, Minn. (WCCO) — Police say a possible sexual assault was recorded by a nearby business’ surveillance camera early Sunday morning.
St. Cloud Police say officers responded to the scene of the possible sexual assault around 3:48 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of 4th Avenue South.
Security personnel at a local business told police their surveillance cameras caught a man and woman having sex outside and called police when it appeared the sexual encounter was not consensual.
They said the woman, a 26-year-old resident of Fort Ripley, attempted several times to push the man off her and pull her pants up.
The security officers interrupted the sexual encounter but the man, later identified as 24-year-old Timothy Lewis Streling, told them it was consensual.
Police say the video surveillance footage clearly shows the woman trying to push Streling off of her.
Streling was arrested and taken into custody at Stearns County Jail, where he could face third-degree criminal sexual conduct charges.
