Minneapolis Mayor Rybak Up For National Dem Post

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak has been nominated for a high-ranking position in the Democratic National Committee.

Rybak spokesman John Stiles said Wednesday that DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz nominated the three-term mayor as one of five vice chairmen. Wasserman Schultz heads the organization for national Democrats.

The nominations will be voted on at a DNC meeting in Chicago on Saturday. Stiles says Rybak will attend.

Rybak was an early supporter of President Barack Obama before the 2008 election.

Awesome! R.T. is a good guy. Who cares what these dweebs have to say. Minneapolis never looked better. Take it from someone who actually lives in the city.
