Mpls. Recognized As 1 Of 3 Gold-Level Walkable Cities
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minneapolis has officially received national recognition for its walkability.
The Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center (PBIC) has award Minneapolis with a gold-level walk-friendly status for its investment in safe, easy-access walking trails, according the City of Minneapolis.
Chicago and San Francisco were also awarded gold-level status.
The PBIC said Minneapolis' planning policies , general pedestrian safety and public walking campaigns contributed to its gold-level title.
