Phones Back To Normal In Albert Lea After Outage

ALBERT LEA, Minn. (WCCO) – A phone outage in southern Minnesota that caused problems for local authorities near Albert Lea Thursday night is now fixed, officials said.

Darin Palmer with the Albert Lea Police Department said the police center and medical center were a part of a phone outage. People in the Freeborn County area who needed police or medical assistance were asked to call 911 as they could still receive 911 calls.

Officials in the area said the phone company had the issue fixed just after 9:20 p.m. and calls to their regular line can be received as normal.
