Motorcyclist Dies After Rear-Ending Another Bike

ELLSWORTH, Wis. (WCCO) -- A 51-year-old motorcyclist was killed after rear-ending another motorcyclist in Wisconsin Sunday afternoon.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, Ronald J. Bauman was killed after crashing into a motorcycle being operated by 50-year-old Mark Schouviller.

The crash happened at about 3:45 p.m. along 825th Street in Trenton Township.

Bauman was airlifted from Fairview Red Wing Medical Center to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he was pronounced dead.

It's not clear yet what led to the crash. The accident is still being investigated by the county as well as the Wisconsin State Patrol.
