Police: Woman Stole Gold Necklaces From Children
ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- St. Paul Police are investigating after receiving several reports of theft, where a woman allegedly took gold necklaces from children.
Police say the incidents occurred at two area markets, Hmong Village, 1001 Johnson Parkway and Hmong Market, 217 Como Ave.
Police say the woman is accused of befriending the kids and their parents, before offering to introduce the children to her own kids. Once the child was away from their parents, the woman allegedly stole the child's gold necklace and left the area.
Authorities say the children were not harmed in these incidents.
Witnesses described the woman as an Asian woman in her 20s, who appears to be pregnant. She was seen driving a Toyota minivan with Wisconsin license plates.
