PRESTON, Minn. (AP) — One man has died in a logging accident in southeastern Minnesota.
The Fillmore County Sheriff’s Department says a 60-year-old man died while logging Thursday near Preston.
Sheriff Daryl Jensen says another logger found Kenneth “Kent” Erding under a fallen tree. Jensen says Erding had apparently cut at least one tree partially and was cutting another when the tree fell on top of him. He tells KAGE-AM moderate winds may have contributed to the tree falling.
