MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – Minnesota has named former Ohio State administrator Tom McGinnis as associate athletics director and chief financial officer.
The university made the announcement on Friday. McGinnis spent 14 years at Ohio State, most recently serving as senior associate athletics director for administration.
Golden Gophers athletic director Joel Maturi says McGinnis will “bring leadership, integrity and energy to this important role.”
McGinnis is an Indiana University alum and also earned a master’s degree in sports management from Ohio State.
McGinnis takes over for Liz Eull, who left the athletic department to join school president Eric Kaler’s staff. He will take over his new job on Dec. 5.
