ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – A 48-year-old St. Paul woman was arrested Tuesday night for allegedly punching her daughter multiple times during a domestic assault incident, according to St. Paul Police.

The incident happened at about 7:24 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Magnolia Avenue West and Park Street in St. Paul. Officers responded to the scene on a report of a domestic assault. When authorities arrived, they learned that Linda Jean Thomas had punched her 11-year-old daughter in the face multiple times after a separate domestic abuse incident.

According to a St. Paul Pioneer Press report, Thomas was arguing with another adult when her daughter came down the stairs in the home for a glass of water. Thomas reportedly told her to go back upstairs, then allegedly proceeded to punch her several times.

Thomas was arrested and booked into the Ramsey County Jail on suspicion of felony domestic assault in connection with the incident. She has not yet been charged by the Ramsey County Attorney's Office. Thomas also has two past domestic assault convictions.
