1 Killed After Car Hits Tree In Cass County
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 47-year-old man was killed Saturday morning when his car hit a tree in Cass County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Authorities said Douglas Gutz was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened at about 7:38 a.m. on Highway 371 about two miles south of the Pine River in Cass County.
According to the State Patrol, Gutz was driving northbound on Highway 371 when he lost control of his vehicle, it went off the road and hit a tree.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol at the scene.
