Student Found Dead At UMD

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say no foul play is suspected in the death of student on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus.

The St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed the death of a male student found in his room at Heany Hall Monday. The university’s vice chancellor of student life, Lisa Erwin, says 19-year-old William “Billy” Harper apparently died of natural causes. Erwin says Harper was enrolled in the Labowitz School of Business and Economics.

The university says counseling is available for students struggling with Harper’s death.

What are natural causes for a 19 year old? Rather upseting.

Exactly, why would a nineteen year old die of natural causes?

Billy was one of my best friends. He was not a heavy drinker. I was just talking to him the night before and he said he had a cough and that was all. The next morning he just didnt wake up from his sleep!!! Keep in mind that not all college kids die from drinking. Hes one of the best kids ill ever know and hes gone now!

Bold conclusion Kirk….a low blow in fact. He was my best friend and went into a diabetic coma that night. You should really think about what you say before you say it and who might be reading it. And nobody “jokes” on their own vomit….they “choke.”

Gotta Love you Cole! I cant stand seeing people say things like this! But atleast we know we have an amazing guardian angel looking over us now!

  5. Jodie Euteneuer says:

Very nicely said Cole!!!! People need to understand that their words can really hurt and they need to think before they speak! And, Kirk, choking on your vomit would not be considered dying of natural causes.
