MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The wind will make if feel below zero Thursday morning. There will be a secondary cold front dropping south as the day progresses. This is the leading edge of the coldest air yet this season.
We will only warm to around 20 in the metro with a feel-factor in the single digits because of the breeze. We will fall back to the single digits by Friday morning and only recover to the teens by afternoon.
Expect another cold start Saturday morning, and then we start to warm up. How do the upper 20s sound for Saturday? How about the mid-30s on Sunday?
There is a strong possibility that western Minnesota warms to the 40s with bare ground warming better than the snow covered towns across the state. Speaking of snow, you notice I haven’t mentioned that in the forecast. I don’t see anything until Monday, and that looks very light at this point.
Just endure the next few days and enjoy a pleasant December weekend.
