Kids Do Holiday Shopping With Cops To Build Community
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Some kids in St. Paul did their holiday shopping Saturday with police officers.
Before the shopping started, the kids met a couple of the horses the St. Paul Police Department uses.
"Shop with Cops" is a program that gives kids a chance to pick out gifts for family members -- something they might not normally be able to afford to do.
Besides getting in the spirit of giving, kids also wrapped the presents, shared a holiday meal and got to know their community police officers.
