St. Cloud St. 4, W. Michigan 2

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Jared Festler scored two goals in the third period as St. Cloud State rallied to beat Western Michigan 4-2 on Thursday.

Festler tied the game at 10:10 of the third period and netted the game-winner at 16:55. Travis Novak added an insurance goal with just 1 second to play.

Nick Jensen had three assists for the Huskies (8-9-4), who were outshot 31-23 by the eighth-ranked Broncos (9-5-5).

J.J. Crew and Shane Berschbach scored for Western Michigan around Nic Dowd's power-play goal for the Huskies. That gave the Broncos a 2-1 lead after two periods.

St. Cloud State goalie Ryan Faragher had 29 saves, while Frank Slubowski stopped 19 shots for the Broncos in the first meeting between the teams.

The game snapped Western Michigan's five-game unbeaten streak.
