LINDSTROM, Minn. (AP) — One student has minor injuries after a sport utility vehicle collided with a school bus taking elementary students home in east-central Minnesota.

Chisago Lakes School District business manager Heide Miller says the crash happened about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday when the SUV slid on an icy road and collided with the bus south of Lindstrom.

Miller says the bus was parked at a stop sign. She was one of the 37 students aboard the bus had a bump on his head and a cut on his hairline.

Miller says the bus driver also suffered cuts. She did not know if the SUV driver was hurt.

The Chisago County sheriff’s office says officers are at the scene.

Tuesday was the first day of classes for students after the holiday break.
