MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Department of Corrections says a fugitive Level 3 sex offender has turned himself in, four days after taking off his GPS bracelet and walking away from his halfway house.
Roderick Lamoryne Hamilton left the halfway house on Saturday. Authorities said he just finished prison time for first-degree criminal sexual conduct, amongst other charges.
Early Wednesday morning, Hamilton turned himself in at Hennepin County Jail and was taken back into custody.
Hamilton had escaped from work release previously. This time he was placed on intensive supervised release in Hennepin County, but still managed to get away.
