MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Check off yet another record broken, thanks to this year’s winter.
Today’s high of a balmy 49 degrees in January has tied a 9-year-old record.
The last time we hit near 50 on Jan. 9 was in 2002.
This is just one of several record-breaking (or near record-breaking) days we’ve had this “winter.”
On Tuesday, we’ll have another shot at a record. The high will inch toward the record of 49 degrees, which was set in 1990.
But don’t be fooled. The cold should finally be coming later this week.
